Is it really private?

Yes. COTID runs entirely on your Mac. Your documents, conversations, and ideas never leave your device — not for training, not for analytics, not for anything.
Can COTID Inc. see my data?
No. There's no server receiving your data. We have no database of user activity. It's architecturally impossible for us to access your information.
Is it safe for confidential work?
Yes. Pre-patent ideas, unpublished research, client confidential memos — you can work on anything without risk.
What can COTID create?

Real documents — research papers, memos, business plans, study guides, technical specs. Plus charts, diagrams, and data visualizations. Documents export as PDF, Word, or Markdown — landscape documents also export as editable PowerPoint slides. Charts and diagrams export as PNG or SVG. Tables export as CSV, Excel, or PNG.
How many documents can I make?
Unlimited. There are no token limits, no daily caps, no generation limits. The AI runs on your machine — there's nothing to ration.
Is it just a chatbot?
No. COTID has a full document editor, a tables app for structured data, a diagrams tool for charts and flowcharts, and a chat interface. You can write, visualize data, and export professional documents.
Does it work offline?

Yes. After you download COTID, it works completely offline. Use it on planes, in lecture halls, anywhere your Mac goes.
Do I need wifi?
Only for the initial download and occasional software updates. After that, COTID never needs the internet.
What about software updates?
Updates download in the background when you're connected. You can disable update checks entirely.
What's a project?
What's a project?
A project is a workspace for a specific area of your work — a class, a client, a research topic. Each project has its own context.
How does it personalize to me?
When you create a project, you tell COTID your Topic, Industry, and Details. It adapts vocabulary, depth, formatting, and tone to match.
Can I have multiple projects?
Yes — every plan includes unlimited projects. Switch between them and the context switches with you.
What do I need to run it?
Mac only?
Yes, for now. COTID is optimized for Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or newer).
System requirements?
Any Mac with Apple Silicon. 8GB RAM minimum, 16GB recommended. macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. About 4GB of storage.
How fast is it?
Fast enough for real-time conversation. Responses start appearing almost instantly and stream at natural reading speed.
